The Artist's Story 🧶

 

I first started crocheting when I was 20 with my Aunt Debbie. She only knew how to crochet blankets and taught me a few stitches, after that I decided to go on YouTube and search up a couple crochet videos. I ended up making hats, bralettes and bikinis, Debbie said I got the hang of it quick and was better than her, haha! My grandmother had taught her and she introduced me to it as well, after I moved out of my Aunt’s house to North Carolina, I started doing everything I love again. Crocheting, makeup and nails, I intend to make crocheting and being a nail tech my careers. It led me to start my own website. I have a huge support system, starting with my Aunt Debbie, my father, my friends Hunter, Maddie, Sky, $ki, Maysee, Smoke, Destiny, Tiara, Bec, Lexx, Emery, Redd, Bella, Alec, Ross, Libby, but most of all, my amazing handsome boyfriend, Chris and his parents. He is the biggest support system I have with anything I want to do in life, I’m so grateful to have him in my life, and his parents are so supportive too, they even give me advice and tips. The people who inspire me and continue to in this business are, starting with Naomi Marie, Shyler Crochets and LaDria LaVae, I’ve been watching all of them crochet ever since I started, making things they made, and seeing the variety of things you can crochet from clothes, decorations, baby clothes, pet clothes, hats, jewelry, overalls, backpacks, tapestries, it’s endless! You can truly make something out of nothing and it’s one of the most beautiful forms of handmade art you can make, buy, support or get into. I can’t wait to see where my business goes, happy crocheting!
